Hi, Becky!

Definitely a Depeche fan, but just got into U2 about a year and a half ago, so I'm playing catchup!

Everyone I know out here already has their Oakland tickets and some are even trying to unload spares, so we're all set. Hope you find a taker soon - can't believe the show is just about a month away...

I really wish PT would have a full-time ride. He makes ANYTHING more interesting! :)

Take care,
Bash

Hi Ms BashUp,

I follow Meesh on Twitter and some time ago your name caught my eye. I thought you were a Depeche Mode fan but then learned while reading, interesting reading btw, that you are more of a U2 fan. Which is why I'm writing so I'll get to the point.

I have 4 GA's to Oakland that I'm looking to sell at face value and thought I'd try you first. These are fan club tickets but I'm not sure if the inner circle is in play this round. I do see a couple of people looking for tix at U2.com so no worries if you're not interested. You're being in SF helps too as I'm in Santa Clara, ok not exactly next door but better than out of state. :)

I also a racing fan but I'll admit that I'm having a hard time being as enthused as I used to be. Tracy getting back in the car helps. We'll see. :D

Hope to hear from you soon!

There's a lot of "crack 'em and stack 'em" Docs, so word of mouth is your best bet. The average life span of a Chiro is well into their 80's, while the average male Physician lives to the ripe old age of 55, so they must be doing something right.

My daughter is seriously considering jumping ship to be a Chiropractor, but she has until the end of the summer to make that decision, meaning she'll change her mind four dozen times. I would have put a smiley at the end of the sentence, but between tuition and paying taxes, I think I'll spend the rest of the day curled up in the fetal position.

Ah, thanks for the reminder. I've found a great massage therapist who uses orthopedic techniques. Now I need to find a good Chiro!

Thanks for the link about litter. I'll give it a look. My cats have longer fur and clumping litter clumps into their bloomers and is a disgusting mess that they would get all over the house. I stopped using clumping litter years ago, but still good to know.

That's terrific! Exercise is a very addictive habit once you get in the swing of things. No fun when the tibia and fibula decide to part ways and your knee becomes a biological lego set, and Chiropractors will tell you it's alignment deal with the spine, meaning the back and knee are related. Developing a stronger core through exercise will eliminate those pains.

Saw something interesting this morning among the volumes of RSS feeds regarding the hazards of clumping cat litter. You probably already knew about it, but I'm passing it along.
http://www.thelighthouseonline.com/articles/clump.html

Doing a quick search, I found a lot of instances where cats develop allergies and asthma. Makes me wonder if it could be a trigger for humans to a lesser degree.

Glad you're all right, and if you're going to have a boss, "awesome" is definitely the way to go.

When stressed, it's never the size of the task, but how you react to it. Everyone has different way of coping, but it's always contingent on your natural temperament, birth order, and favored way of processing information. The common denominators of Briggs Meyers, DISC profiling, and yes, your birth chart (preferably under Vedic Astrology) will give you a good idea as to where you stand.

The universal way to slow down is to make a conscious effort to breathe deeply for several minutes at least once daily. The noggin' loves that O2, and if you're getting plenty of air, a whirlwind of tasks slows down in front of you.

A quick, natural fix is from a product called "Cognition Ignition". (nutrimedical.com)

I love that stuff, but like Super Silver, people stop by to "borrow" it. Anymore, I just hand them a Mason Jar and say I want it back by Friday. "Borrow" is part of a lame nomenclature for expressing "that stuff took care of XYZ, but I thought it was a fluke, and never bothered getting some". Aaaargh

When all else fails, alcohol always provides a temporary solution. Consequences may vary.

Stay well.

:) You're welcome. Didn't expect you to post it, otherwise, I would have spent a little more time being user-friendly in writing style.

A lot of it is universal, and you can pick up even better information from good chiropractors. Some of those old hippies running Mom and Pop health food stores will surprise you with their knowledge too.

Everybody's like a jigsaw puzzle when it comes to staying healthy. In other words, pieces that fit in your puzzle may not with someone else's. It takes time and there are no magic cures, although Super
Silver, Thieves Oil, and Allimax come pretty close. Eventually, you'll become very confident in your innate abilities to heal yourself and stay healthy.

Subscribing to Dr. Mercola's newsletter will give you some good high-line information, although like Dr. Deagle and Dr. Day, I don't agree with everything. Again, it's your puzzle, and you can reject what doesn't fit.

Knock on wood, but I'm going on nine years without so much as a headache. 90 percent of it is abstention from soda/aspartame, vegan diet, and the water rule.

Brita is a start, but remember, filter the water well, or you'll become the filter:)

Wow - that's a lot to read. Thanks for sharing...I'll work through this as I can. For now, I'm about 100% better after less than a week on current regimen. The steroids go after three more weeks. By then, I'll have gotten through some of this info! :) Thanks care, Bash

Wow. What a nasty 2009. I'm glad you enumerated the good things though.

Well, I looked at the blog out of boredom. I could write something lame, or worse, ignore it. I've helped several dozen folks directly in the area of the bionic cough, bronchitis, allergies, and asthma over the years, so I'll paste some old notes for what it's worth. It's the hobby I didn't want because it goes against my disposition. These protocols can be used in conjunction with the meds.

Without doing anything else, the AlliMax and Silver alone will get rid of the cough and bronchitis.

Just keep it in a folder somewhere if you think it's junk, because you may want to look at it again sometime in the future.

I've never used Sterol-117, I just know of people who used this in conjunction with the following protocol to control/cure their asthma.

http://www.bio-genesis.com/productpages/sterol-117/sterol-117.html

jwalton@allimax.us
www.allimax.us
www.allimed.us

Allimed is more potent, and probably the better of the two products. Email James Walton for more information on dosage.

www.ihsite.com

A lot of silvers will do the job, but I'm most comfortable with this product. Although this is not medical advice, I've seen odd coincidences of people being cured from everything ranging from Hep C to HIV within a matter of weeks.

Glenn Parnham may look a little weird in comparison to the Madison Avenue marketing, but as it is in the Alternative fields, it's substance over style. Silver works and was the original antibiotic used by doctors, but replaced by big Pharma for higher margins and the opportunity to upsell for a cocktail of more ineffective meds. I guarantee you'll say bye-bye to the cough and bronchial nastiness within 10 to 14 days of use... Probably a lot sooner.

Essential supplements you can get from your local Health Food store. GNC and other popular chains are NOT health food stores. Name brand supplements found in grocery stores and pharmacies are synthetic, and contain binders that will block your colon.

Omega 3 and Potassium... Sounds like you're already there.

Vitamin D3... If it's anything other than D3, it's irradiated cow brain. Unfortunately, nuking it doesn't kill any prions.

Magnesium. Also remember to soak your feet or take a bath in Epsom Salts a few times weekly.

Selenium

Curcumin

Both digestive and systemic Enzymes. By the time you reach 40, you only have 25 percent of the enzymatic production you did when you were 18, and you need that production for the immune system. I'm not convinced there are enzymes far superior to brands like NOW or Soleray, but www.thedoctorwithin.com is a good place to learn more about them as well as allergies.

Green whole food powder. Most products are good, but some taste nasty. Better than Greens, Uri International, and Enerfood are ones you can put in water, and look forward to consuming.

*IMPORTANT*

Water. It takes a while to build up to this, but you need to drink half your body weight in ounces daily. In other words, if you weigh 110 lbs, half would be 55, meaning 55 ounces daily.

One trick to consume that much is to add small amounts of sea salt. Morton salt, iodized or not, is toxic and chlorinated. Sea salt contains more than 80 essential minerals. This is where we get phrases like salt of the earth, worth your weight in salt, and even the word salary comes from salt because it was a major barter item in Ancient Rome.

FILTER your own water. Don't drink from the tap, and don't buy bottled water, because even if you take out the contaminants, chlorine, and lithium, you still have to deal with bisphoenal A from the plastic. A Brita is better than nothing at all, but there are a lot of good filtration systems. I personally use Berkey gravity element filters, which will set you back $200, but your return on investment will be less than six months compared to bottled water.

Dental health. The AlliMax/AlliMed along with taking the super silver will help a lot. What you brush your teeth with is critical. If it's Proctor and Gamble stuff, just read the precautions and ingredients on the tube, and ask why the heck are you using it? Most of the health food stores have good alternatives, or you can make your own with Baking Soda (preferably aluminum free) and a real soap like Miracle II or Dr. Brammers. Again, the grocery stuff is detergent, and the rule of thumb is if you can't eat it, it doesn't go in your mouth or on your body.

The mouth is the first line of defense for bacteria and plaque. If you have infections, there's other things festering in the body. Water is the oldest detox program, but it takes years, Lots of colon and metal detox protocols out there, but one of my favorites is a technique called oil pulling. Just put the phrase in a search engine. It isn't rocket science, and all that's needed is some Sesame Seed oil, or something else refined you don't cook with.

Changes in diet. This is essential if you want to control the allergies and asthma. I won't do the full vegan deal, just the critical areas.

Avoid all soda. Probably the best single thing you can do for overall health because it turns your body into an acidic state. Aspartame kills (dot com), and should never be consumed. The documentary "Sweet Misery" is available on Google Video and YouTube. This was my wake up call to the medical establishment and also my "cure" from MS nine years ago. Actually, the Doc looked at me as the ticket for a house boat or new car, and diagnosed aspartame poisoning as MS.

Dairy.... Avoid it (notmilk.com). Chances are dairy is the primary source of allergies. I used to have them too until I got off the moo express. Again, real organic is the only way to go if you're to consume the stuff. However, don't touch any of it until your asthma goes away.

Soy... Avoid it as much as possible. The only exception is if it's fermented like soy sauce, although Braggs Liquid Aminos is a better alternative. Refer to the magic bean chapter at thedoctorwithin.com.

Electro Magnetic Frequencies. A solid 7 to 8 hours of sleep is the key to a good metabolism, immune system, and sharper thinking. It's the brain's way of doing a defrag. EMF pollution has increased 100 million times in the past ten years, and some people have difficulty getting a sound sleep. In most areas, we can't get away from it, but it can be reduced in the home.

The most obvious are to turn off the WiFi and cell phone when not in use. However, the electronic alarm clock produces as much EMF as the wireless devices. If you have the clock within arms length of the bed, it's the same amount of EMF as having a cell phone a few inches from your head all night long. Either move it more than six feet away, or use a wind up clock. A dimmer switch for a light produces more EMF pollution than everything else combined, and not worth the convenience of mood lighting.

If you need the best sleep of your life and can't do primitive camping, go to the fuse box and turn off all the breakers. It's a hassle and I never really got in to the habit of doing it on a regular basis.

There's a lot of other stuff, like breathing, meditation and exercise, but I'm getting tired of pasting some of my old notes. It's not about longevity, rather quality of life, regardless if you're on the plane for another two years or 70.

Wow. What a nasty 2009. I’m glad you enumerated the good things though.

Well, I looked at the blog out of boredom. I could write something lame, or worse, ignore it. I’ve helped several dozen folks directly in the area of the bionic cough, bronchitis, allergies, and asthma over the years, so I’ll paste some old notes for what it’s worth. It’s the hobby I didn’t want because it goes against my disposition. These protocols can be used in conjunction with the meds.

Without doing anything else, the AlliMax and Silver alone will get rid of the cough and bronchitis.

Just keep it in a folder somewhere if you think it’s junk, because you may want to look at it again sometime in the future.

I’ve never used Sterol-117, I just know of people who used this in conjunction with the following protocol to control/cure their asthma.

http://www.bio-genesis.com/productpages/sterol-117/sterol-117.html

jwalton@allimax.us
http://www.allimax.us
http://www.allimed.us

Allimed is more potent, and probably the better of the two products. Email James Walton for more information on dosage.

http://www.ihsite.com

A lot of silvers will do the job, but I’m most comfortable with this product. Although this is not medical advice, I’ve seen odd coincidences of people being cured from everything ranging from Hep C to HIV within a matter of weeks.

Glenn Parnham may look a little weird in comparison to the Madison Avenue marketing, but as it is in the Alternative fields, it’s substance over style. Silver works and was the original antibiotic used by doctors, but replaced by big Pharma for higher margins and the opportunity to upsell for a cocktail of more ineffective meds. I guarantee you’ll say bye-bye to the cough and bronchial nastiness within 10 to 14 days of use… Probably a lot sooner.

Essential supplements you can get from your local Health Food store. GNC and other popular chains are NOT health food stores. Name brand supplements found in grocery stores and pharmacies are synthetic, and contain binders that will block your colon.

Omega 3 and Potassium… Sounds like you’re already there.

Vitamin D3… If it’s anything other than D3, it’s irradiated cow brain. Unfortunately, nuking it doesn’t kill any prions.

I’m not convinced there are enzymes far superior to brands like NOW or Soleray, but http://www.thedoctorwithin.com is a good place to learn more about them as well as allergies.

Don’t drink from the tap, and don’t buy bottled water, because even if you take out the contaminants, chlorine, and lithium, you still have to deal with bisphoenal A from the plastic.

If it’s Proctor and Gamble stuff, just read the precautions and ingredients on the tube, and ask why the heck are you using it? Most of the health food stores have good alternatives, or you can make your own with Baking Soda (preferably aluminum free) and a real soap like Miracle II or Dr. Brammers. Again, the grocery stuff is detergent, and the rule of thumb is if you can’t eat it, it doesn’t go in your mouth or on your body.

Well, it's time to face reality. No big time racing at the Milwaukee Mile. Nationwide series is coming to Road America. A beautiful track, but no so good if you actually want to see racing.

I agree - what a mess. And what a shame if they can't get something worked out eventually. The race there is always enjoyable and the place has such history.

What do we call it,Mess in Milwaukee? What a disaster at the Milwaukee Mile. We will have to see if the recently appointed promoter can pull this off. I would really miss not having a race here.

Gosh Bash I know. I use to just sit and watch the broadcast by myself. Now I multi-task away with fellow fans (Twitter, IM, Race Control oh my). It does make the race so much more entertaining though!

Glad the interactive chat on Planet-ILR worked out, was great this last Sunday!

Enjoy Kentucky this Saturday, luckily I will be in attendance! Can't wait for the smell and sounds of live Indy - nothing beats that!

Naw, I was doing it myself, via Twitter, from the comfort of my hospital bed. :) Surgery was a little more involved than anticipated, but all went well. Nausea kept me there an extra day. Just got home, got the radio network and VERSUS fired up and I'm good to go. Thanks.

If you're the Fig, I guess I have to be the Girl. (Typical typecasting for me... :) ) I've been told I can attend Indy if I feel up to it, but I don't know. May tire too easily and will still be all swelled up around the middle and slow to get around. I'd say the chances are slim. Thanks for your wishes. I am tired of being miserable and cannot WAIT to get into OR. I'll be catching up with blogs and tweets in a morphine haze tomorrow evening....

Hi Bash

I popped over from MeinSpace expecting to see Indy Car photos. Excellent camera aspect, BTW.

Regarding surgery, it's always a something you don't want to do, and although Doctors are great for trauma, sometimes it's not the best solution. Just depends on what it's all about.

Although I'm not a doctor, but played a Mad Scientist twice on "Dr. Shock's X-Ray Chiller Theater" (Not exactly a highlight of my career) I offer no advice, but gave been able to point a lot of people in the right direction.

I am so sorry about your kitty. My condolences. I had to put my 22 year old cat down last year after his kidney's failed. I couldn't stand seeing him suffer anymore. The vet said he wouldn't have made it another day or two anyway. Poor guy.
You are right...they are in a better place, maybe Mouser is even looking at her for a new GF til Sebastion joins them someday.
Take good care of yourself right now.

Thanks, Meesh - I'm feeling no chest pains now, which is good. After two weeks of trauma (some of which isn't covered here), I can't turn my adrenaline off, but I'm doing my best to remain calm. This too shall pass... unlike most drivers trying to get around the tentative Ms. Patrick at Surfer's... :)

Hello, LB. I was reading through Curt's latest INDYCar blog and saw "Bashful." I can't remember the names of my children, but without any other prompting, I knew, I hoped it was you. How are you? I'm in Indy doing PR and loving it. You look great (as always). I hope you are well. JT

Great diary entries and an outstanding photo record. Thanks for that. You're obviously much more than a casual fan, with a lot of knowledge about what's going on now and a lot of history. I enjoyed this.

If men had to have their testicles scanned every year, the machine would be velvet-lined, warmed to body temperature and a feather-light pressure would be all that was required to get a good picture. We need a female engineer to re-imagine the scanning machinery.

The Bodacious Brit (currently referred to as the Piemaker around here) has been experimenting with low-carb low-cholesterol diabetic-friendly pie crusts these last few weeks. One cabinet is full of almond meal, whey powder, soy flour and other esoteric ground cereals, and he's thinking of going the scientific route and baking up a variety of mix squares to see which one produces the best pie crust.

One of his big problems has been the crust being very crumbly (not necessarily bad, but it makes lining the pan sort of tough, and making an upper crust is totally out of the question). Since neither of us are gluten-intolerant, I think he's going to experiment with adding wheat gluten as a "glue" for the crust.

Yow -- I heard that the left coast was going to get hammered by winter storms, and by golly it looks like said hammering landed on the Bay area. Stay indoors and safe, and good luck with Joe (mmmm -- sourdough).

Good luck! I'm trying to reduce stress in my own life and improve on the things that matter to me (the writing, the craftwork, and learning new things). How well this will all work out is anyone's guess.

Hi, I found your post about Al Gore through technorati.com.

If you support Al Gore's efforts, you may want to consider becoming a part of draftgore.com 's petition to encourage him to join the presidential race.

Now, I'm a am a fairly pragmatic person. I certainly don't believe in throwing my vote, my money, or my time away. But the movement to draft Al Gore has gained serious attention in just the last few days. Its members recently put a full page ad in the NY Times, encouraging Gore to enter the race. The draftgore movement was also enthusiastically supported on AirAmerica recently, and numerous articles about the article were recently released in major newspapers nationwide. The day *before* Al Gore won the Nobel, draftgore.com's web traffic statistics were nearly as high as Hillaryclinton.com -- see alexa.com for details -- and Gore recently beat her in several state's opinion polls.

This movement is taking off very, very quickly, because it seems to resonate with many, many people who feel that "none of the above" is the best choice. Al Gore can be your next President... but please consider this -- the time for showing your loud, vocal, open support for Al Gore to run for President is NOW, while he's got the world's attention and while he still has time to enter the race and raise funds. Not tomorrow. Not next week. NOW.

If the public loudly encourages him to run now, while he's at his peak, he'll grab the attention of the world's media... and all that attention and free publicity could help carry Al Gore all the way to the White House. Even if he loses, his cause and the issues he stands for will win, as Hillary Clinton would be forced to make equally strong proposals to combat global warming.

Ultimately, Draftgore is going to get so big as to require Gore to either step up, or politely yet firmly refuse. Either way, it's going to increase Gore's ability to bring about positive change in this country, and its a good way to say thanks for all his efforts.

If you'd like to show your support, please visit <a href="http://draftgore.com" rel="nofollow">draftgore.com</a> and <a href="http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/algore2008/" rel="nofollow">sign the petition</a> to add your voice to the over 160,000 people who have already done so. Take the time to post about draftgore.com on your site and let others know. If you have a bit of free time, offer to <a href="http://draftgore.com/volunteer.asp" rel="nofollow">volunteer</a>. If you can spare a few bucks, please <a href="http://draftgore.com/donate.asp" rel="nofollow">send them a donation</a>. It's easy and painless... you can even use PayPal.

(Can you tell I'm excited yet?!)

Best -

Thanks for stopping by, Darci - great to hear from you! As you have read here, I'm beyond swamped, and have become a horrible correspondent, so here is my daily "what's-for-dinner", for the whole world to read. It stuns me that people I don't know are regular readers (only just a small handful - but still, isn't there other stuff to read out there?)! LOL! You, of course, are a welcomed sight here - I've heard through the grapevine that things are going really well for you, also, and that's so well deserved.

See you "out there"... :)

hey bash! my boss and i are exploring alternative titles for my position, and while doing some googling for "ui writer", i stumbled onto your blog. it's great to hear that you're doing so well and things sound wonderful for you at work. :)

i'll be peeking in every now and again to catch up, so if you see hits from apple.com....it's probably me!

Hi Bash!

You may have seen this elsewhere: but if so, just letting you know I am safe here in Central AL. Storms did no harm to me whatsoever....

Appreciate your thoughtfulness.

I would kill or die for sleep, but I keep getting interrrupted or I have to stay up to do some fukaktah contract work. Man, I intend to SLEEP this weekend, and Flying Spaghetti Monster help anyone who wakes me up early (looking meaningfully at the cow-colored cat).

Yeah, it's funny, innit? I got some hits from Turkey and Hungary a few weeks ago, and I don't know folks there. Sometimes a referring source explains it - someone searching for "champagne" or "webkinz" or "bashes place" ('elllo Pefe, Hants, UK! LOL!) - but sometimes there isn't any data for that. My Turkish and Hungarian readers never returned - probably not entralled with the generally mundane content here! *grin*

It's extremely cool to see Sid back on TV! I just sorta wish that they'd stop casting him as a Middle Easterner/Muslim/Terrorist -- he <i>can</i> do other things.
