“New Year’s Day” in Poland

Solidarity: U2′s “New Year’s Day” was inspired by the Solidarity movement in Poland (think of jailed leader Lech Walesa singing to his wife when you hear “I will be with you again…”), and the song is always quite a moment when U2 plays it live in Poland. Tonight’s show featured the audience in a self-organized flash mob, displaying the colors of their flag to astounding effect.

And, of course, what’s a U2 post from me without a gratuitous shot of Adam?  :)
